ATTENTION: After 35 years of neuropsychological assessment and psychotherapy practice, Dr. Eschbach is embarking upon retirement. His Schaumburg office has been sold to an MD (Family Practice Medicine), and, therefore, no "in-person" appointments for testing or psychotherapy are being scheduled. A limited number of appointments are available for "telehealth" (using the HIPAA-compliant DoxyMe telehealth platform), and Dr. Eschbach will be available on a limited basis for consultation and teaching. Patients seeking long-term psychotherapy, in-person neuropsychological assessment, or any biofeedback modality are encouraged to seek services from another appropriate professional.

Dr. Alexander Eschbach served as the Chief Rehabilitation Psychologist/Neuropsychologist for 11 years at a satellite of one of the leading physical medicine and rehabilitation facilities in the United States. He subscribes to the biopsychosocial model of health and illness and conceives of emotional distress as an interaction of the environment and the individual. Instead of focusing on "disease," he prefers to enhance the behavioral repertoire of his patients. Learning and acquiring skills is the focus rather than "treating disease." Dr. Eschbach has been a licensed psychologist for over 35 years, with a focus on Neuropsychological Assessment, Applied Psychophysiological Monitoring and Biofeedack,and Individual Psychotherapy (Cognitive-Behavioral / Humanistic focus for Counseling).
